Meet Dr. Catalina Zambrano

Board-Certified Orthodontist

Catalina Zambrano, DDS, MS grew up in Monterrey, Mexico in a family of dentists. Her father is an orthodontist and her mother is a periodontist, so Dr. Zambrano’s interest in the profession began in her youth. She earned her DDS from Tecnologico de Monterrey where she graduated at the top of her class. Next came a one-year orthodontic internship at UT Health San Antonio. She was selected for an orthodontic residency and earned a Master of Science and a Certificate of Orthodontics from UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Zambrano is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Texas Dental Association (TDA). She loves helping her patients improve their self-confidence with a beautiful new smile.

When she’s not improving the smiles of patients, Dr. Zambrano and her husband, Mauricio De Hoyos, enjoy spending time with family, friends, and Luna, their corgi. Dr. Zambrano also likes to run, cook, hike and travel.

Areas Served

Laredo Orthodontics is in Central Laredo on Canton Road, just off of I-35. Our central location allows us to work with many patients in Laredo as well as nearby communities like La Presa and Los Arcos. Our office is close to Alma Elementary, Clark Elementary, Clark Middle School, Triumph High School, and several Harmony Schools. We are also a short drive from Texas A&M International University (Go Dustdevils!). We believe convenience is one of the keys to receiving high-quality orthodontic care on a routine basis, so we are happy to meet our Laredo patients where they’re at.
